In September 2007 Genesis embarked on a Vision Campaign we called Fearless. This financial campaign lasted for three months and those pledges will encompass the next three years. As this campaign began and as it continues we believe that God is calling us to live out Acts 1:8.
But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me everywhere - in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria and to the ends of the earth.
What is the vision campaign?
The campaign is an opportunity for us as the church to raise our commitment in being stewards of God’s Kingdom and Kingdom resources. The campaign is a catalytic opportunity to take the vision
and mission of Genesis Church from us to the community. We’ll be taking huge steps of faith in the
stewardship of our time, talents and treasures. The pledges resulting from the three month
campaign will encompass three years.
What were and are the goals of the campaign?
The goals of the campaign are to deeply embed the vision Genesis (Christ centered, redemptive and transformative) into the hearts and minds of our people and to resource the execution of this vision on three levels:
- LOCAL - The Genesis Community Center and Worship Space
- REGIONAL - Planting of churches in the metro Phoenix area and building homes in Mexico
- GLOBAL - Long term global partnerships in Africa
Why FEARLESS?
The Genesis ethos has always been one of seemingly insurmountable odds. God’s amazing grace
and power showed up time and time again. We believe that He has been trying to tell us
something through our journey together - that when we are carrying out his missional vision of
the Body of Christ, we are to remain fearless!
