Throughout our Unhurried series, we were invited to slow down with Jesus and begin to take a posture of paying attention to God’s leading in our lives. This lead to the deeper questions about the reasons why, the methods we could use to connect, and how it feels to actually begin to live more unhurried.
In our new class, “Deeper”, we will look at the reasons we slow down and listen harder, the methods we can use to make that posture possible, and actually practice some ways of connection and listening.
Deeper will be your opportunity to learn with others what it means to become unhurried and more peaceful while getting to try some things you have never done before in connecting with God.
If you’ve ever wanted to rest with God, read the Bible with more impact, and pray more confidently – Deeper is for you!
May 18, Week 1 – Attitude of Sabbath: Sleep isn’t an option for us as humans, and neither is rest with God. We will learn why and how to begin creating time with God for connection and rest.
May 25, Week 2 – Reading for Impact: God’s word is our most reliable voice of truth and hope. We will discover how to read it so that it speaks to us and provides the most clear impact possible.
June 1, Week 3 – Prayer in Motion: Talking to God doesn’t only mean sitting quietly thinking inside our own heads. We can, and literally will, pray together and also move locations during prayer.
June 8, Week 4 – Rule of Life: A rule of life is a plan to intentionally incorporate spiritual practices into our lives daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly. It provides a guide for participating with God in changing us through the consistent use of the practices.
